Legacy Rail Operations was founded by industry veterans Jeffrey and Gregory White in 2015, with a mission to transform rail operations by integrating innovative solutions that enhance safety and efficiency across the board.
Our mentor, the late William “Bill” Mooney once shared that passenger rail operations is an industry taught skill passed down from generation to generation. In some cases, extremely knowledgeable experts within their field retired before their time. Jeffrey White, a specialist within many disciplines of his career, found himself in this position. After a successful career within the Chicago Transit Authority, he was fortunate to use his skills as an independent consultant on the Dulles “Silver Line” phase I 23-mile extension of Washington’s existing Metrorail System. With this newly gained experience, In June of 2015, Jeffrey and his brother, a seasoned entrepreneur, Gregory White formed Legacy Rail Operations.
We strive for excellence in facilitating unmatched confidence as it pertains to complex solutions to core projects such as Line Extension Projects, Start-up Controls, All Electric Bus Maintenance Facilities, New Train Car Projects, Control Center Assessment & Improvement Strategy, Capacity Studies and Construction Managers with an Operations Specialty.
We intend to endeavor as trailblazers in rail operations consulting, leading the industry towards a horizon where rail systems are the pinnacle of reliability and innovation. Legacy Rail Operations is certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in 16 states including Illinois, New York, Texas and California. We are also certified as a Minority Business Enterprise by the City of Chicago.
